Only As A Child
Mom
Lunch made bagged and ready to bring to school
Wow inside treats to share that’s way cool
Under appreciated sometimes is she
And yet always the one to tell you don’t worry
When you’ve fallen and scraped a knee
Or had a date who told you you’re not pretty
Whose always there to offer you loving care
And remove those nasty tangles from your hair
She’s the one who hangs with dad
When you’ve fallen really have done something bad
She’s also the first one to hug even though you’re a nuisance
And there to clap at you’re school band performance
Regardless of what you’ve done that’s not bright
She’s always the one to tell you it’s alright
Who is this amazing lady
She’s my mom and ain’t she pretty
Amen
