Sick of the news? Believe in the good news!
Before we get started, please read the previous article, here; Hypocrisy and taxes, my latest on Locals, here; Coffee and Christianity: Episode 87: Sheep and goats, and, if you'd really like to help me out, go here; Help with medical bills
I'm not going to go through the whole thing, because that would take too long.
I'm not going to give the whole context for the same reason, but, PLEASE read it yourself.
Okay, so, here we go. “And Jesus, aware of this, sad to them, “Why are you discussing the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened? Having eyes, do you not see, and having hears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?”
(Mark 8:17-18).
Jesus then goes on to remind them what they did, etc etc. PLEASE read it on your own. I do not want to read The Bible for you, you're not my nieces and nephews. (Whom I do read The Bible to).
Anyway.
I don't see very well. “well”, “no duh”, “that's why you wear glasses”.
Why yes, thank you for reminding me of this.
What you might not know, is that I also don't hear very well. Years of loud rock music and playing guitar! (Truth be told, I've known since at least the 5th grade that I've had trouble hearing).
So what does this do with anything? Because there are people who do have eyes, but do not see, that have ears, but do not listen.
I know it seems like I complain a lot (and I do), but, I want you to understand this; Christianity is something that should be lived. This includes calling evil, well, evil. (see Matthew 18:15-20)
Whether it's blaming Ukraine for russia bombing them, blaming Israel for Hamas starting a war with them, or finding new ways to claim The Bible supports abortion (I actually wrote this article before Trent released this episode! How Abortion Advocates Twist the Bible and Church history), or claiming that God uses “they/them pronouns”. It's not a sin to instruct the ignorant.
So what can you do? You can share this article (which I encourage), and you can decide to engage in this top, head on. Remember, YOU want people to get to heaven.
