Seasoning

We have all been given the ability to season

Yes to either be rude or generous and pleasing

But not just for the food we eat

But the lives of those whom we all meet

The folks out on our neighborhood street

The parents and kids at the weekly swim meet

By our attitude do we season

With charity we offer hope and reason

With a smile

As big as a mile

But beware for at times we can season bitterly

And cause harm sometimes critically

But unlike salt that is no good after use

We can reach out and apologize for most any abuse

And use the salt that He has given

The salt of love from our Lord that is truly is available for any reason
