The Teachings of Saint Paul
I was exposed only for a short time to the Latin Mass. I understood only a few words but oh! How angelic the whole Mass sounded to my ears. That was also the time when the priests back was to us. Even being that little, I could still feel the presence of God in that Church. It seemed normal and right and it still does to me. "Feast of the Body of Christ". Honoring the Holy Eucharist. Love words. Corpus Christi. Reflecting on the Last Supper, making that memorable moment more significant than ever.
"We" are the Body of Christ. His human creations. His holy vessels from whence He first came. He is the Vine and we are the branches. The Apostles watched, even after living, talking, walking with Him for 3 years. Listening to the words at the Last Supper, "this is my body which will be given up for you". How their minds must have swirled with thoughts, not even grasping the intensity it would hold forever. Celebrating the "real" presence of Christ in the Eucharist. What a precious treasure we hold within us after receiving Him in Communion. What an honor for "us" to be allowed by such a great God.
Our treasures from Heaven are numerous and we are grateful. None other though, is as great, as "The Treasure of the Eucharist". The real Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Walk with reverence up to the altar to receive Him, and bow your head at His greatness.
Thank you my Beloved God and I ask your Mercy on all who do not believe. Ave Corpus Christi!
