The very Essence of humanity that seeks its purpose
We often search for the premise of our being before God. Yet, God knew us before he created everything and the very purpose for us was part of our humanity. It just took the effort of man to look beyond himself to realize that God did not let us alone to ascertain this puzzle.
Figuring out what our essence could become was not a community forum but a manner of understanding the working of the human intellect within every individual person. The essence of humanity is found differentially in each person. Therefore, even though we are created within a common understanding, each person functions in a unique manner that makes us special since like finger-prints we still are identified as one in a million. That is why everyone is not a doctor, or lawyer, or even a farmer. We are different as even the angels have their own purpose. God created all of us to be different while still remaining the same creatures that fit together like a puzzle. If one piece is missing we cannot manufacture an exact replacement on our own initiative. It takes the creator to fit the missing piece with an exact replacement. How that is accomplished only God knows.
What makes us different while remaining the same human person is the blending of personalities, likes and dislikes, temperament and compassion towards others. Since we were created to not depend on God pulling the strings like a puppeteer, God gave us free will to choose the good from the bad. Finding God within each person can be a challenge if we are seeking one like yourself. We soon learn that there is only one you that cannot be duplicated
Being perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect is not a cloned idea, it is the one essential mandate that we all need to follow. (Mt 5: 48). The perfect example of that perfection is the quest for holiness. Exodus 15: 11. “Who is like to you among the gods, O Lord? Who is like to you, magnificent in holiness?”
“We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him…For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brethren, And those whom he predestined he also called; and those whom he called he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified.” (CCC 2012).
A purpose for each of us is not the same as each other. However, as stated above we all are called to be special in his eyes. This is the essence of God and the essence of humanity as well.
