God's Endless Mercy And Forgiveness
I go before you to prepare a Place for you
Eileen Renders
I am a naturally curious person, and that is how I became a Nutritionist, a health research writer, a certified Wellness Coach, and a writer. There is not much sense of joy in knowledge that is not shared. But, more deeply, and beyond my earthly goals, I made spiritual growth my priority. Realizing that our time on earth is temporary, I prayed more, desired deeply to be of service to God, and follow the Commandments.
God is so loving, so merciful, and giving. He motivated and inspired me (after giving me a bit of talent as a writer) to serve Him through writing.
In John 14:5, there is much that was said in a conversation between Jesus and the Apostle John. Jesus said, “I go before you to prepare a place for you.” This statement affirms Jesus’ promise to return again, after His ascension into heaven to be with His Father, to take you to a place where they (the Apostles) can remain with Him. Jesus emphasized the importance of faith and trust in God and Jesus. Jesus was signifying how He was preparing a spiritual home for His followers.
John Chapter 14: More conversation between John and Jesus,
Jesus says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You trust in God, trust also in me.”
“In my Father’s house, there are many places to live in; otherwise, I would have told you. I am going now to prepare a place for you. And after I have gone and prepared you a place, I shall return to take you to myself, so that you may be with me where I am. More: if you love me, you will keep my commandments.
Jesus continued saying, “I shall ask the Father, and he will give you another Paraclete (a Christian biblical term in Christian theology commonly refers to the Holy Spirit) to be with you forever.”
“I shall not leave you as orphans; I shall come to you. In a short time, the world will no longer see me, but you will see that I live, and you also will live.”
Jesus continued saying, “On that day you will know that I am in my Father and you in me and I in you.”
“Whoever holds to my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me, and whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I shall love him and reveal myself to him.”
Thomas asked Jesus, “But Lord, we do not know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus said, “I am the way, I am the Truth, and Life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
Jesus said; “In all truth I tell you, whoever believes in me will perform the same works as I do myself, and will perform even greater works, because I am going to the Father.” Jesus continued saying, “Whatever you ask in my name I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
Conclusion; What kind of place will we have prepared for us in Heaven? How do we extract the answer from the words of Jesus?
Putting it all together, this is what I interpret from Jesus’ words,
If we love Jesus, trust in Him, and follow His Commandments, the Holy Spirit will be within us. Jesus returns to be with His Father, and in His Father as the Father is in Him, and He is in us as we are in Him. And when we are in Him, we can do many things as Jesus can do many things. Therefore, I conclude that our place in heaven will be much like we would want it to be, as we all have somewhat different likes and preferences. Our place in heaven will use our wishes as we can be the architects. God is all-loving, all merciful, and all giving.
