What Progressives Get Wrong About Peaceful Protest

What a time we are all living in. It seems that much of what George Orwell warned us about has become a master class from the lamestream media.

We continue to hear from progressive airheads on the news circuit saying that paid agitators (Yes, I so dare to say it) turned many great cities into a third world country. They’re glorifying their so-called demonstration, “peaceful”.

Meanwhile, cities were burned, cops had targets on their backs thanks to these agitators collecting money from George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and Christy Walton (Yes, the daughter-in-law of Sam Walton, who founded Wal-Mart).  This has become 2020 all over again, minus the silly face muzzles that we were coerced into wearing as a way to “Love Thy Neighbor”.

Sadly, we continue to hear from the same windbags on the tube or even our digital newsfeed that pro-lifers who have rosaries dangling from their fingers and prayer books at hand are considered terrorists.

To quote a friend and colleague, “If you listen to the language of the protesters in LA, it is not — contrary to what the talking heads on CNN argue — peaceful. It is reactionary, and it is vicious, and it is dripping with hatred against government agents.”

She continues, “That should frighten all of us who believe that all riots are the same, because they conjure the worst characteristics of humanity and make them manifest in actions. The motivations don’t matter. The end results do.” My colleague is right.

Pro-lifers never once pillaged, ransacked, murdered, or even inflicted harm like the Huns did in the 5th Century. They said their prayers and pleaded for that young African teen or college student to change their mind during their hour of great need. At the same time, escorts (who can range from young professionals to boomers from the Woodstock concert) aggressively tried to get physical without even trying to hide it to an elderly woman or middle-aged man who had information on a free ultrasound for consideration. Even passersby who consume too much CNN and faulty talking points from Reddit are too blind to see the good that they do when they yell at pro-lifers while commending volunteers outside of a Planned Parenthood for being accessories to murder.

No wonder the mainstream media is losing credibility as their ratings continue to plummet, the orange man in the White House continues to make heads spin with every success he has to bring America back from the brink of destruction brought about by his deadbeat predecessor, and more and more are seeing the truth.

Let the record show that a protest involves peacefully assembling anywhere and voicing your concern. Look at what happens in Washington on a cold Friday in January, or what will happen now in a post- Roe America in DC and throughout the country.  

A riot is a riot when property is destroyed, businesses are looted, and cops are attacked by vicious savages who have no regard for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Our country needs a spiritual cleansing, a revival. Parents today must ensure that their children understand the true difference between right and wrong, and not consume too much TV or screen time (whatever people use these days to be entertained).

So let’s end this with a reminder: peaceful protests don’t involve looting, assaulting, or harassing. A protest that works is making your voice heard on an issue. The moment it gets violent should never be deemed as a protest, but a riot.

To quote a popular church hymn, “Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.”
