Icons, not idols

Sometimes, I do a “Coffee and Christianity” episode, and later write about it. Sometimes, I write about it, and it becomes a “Coffee and Christianity” episode. This is the former
Some years ago, when I was a fairly new Catholic, in my early 20s, I used to go to confession to a man called Fr. Tim. I did it face-to-face, too! (yeah, historically, confessionals weren't really a thing,How the rite of confession is different in the Byzantine tradition/, but, I'm glad I have the option to confess anonymously, Enjoy going to confession in private? Thank the Irish!)!
But, anyway, there was a habitual sin I was stuck in. And, Fr. Tim said for my penance to read Corinthians 12. I don't remember what verses he said to read, but, I can certainly remember the ones that stuck out, and because I don't want to write too much, “And to keep me from being elated by the abundance of revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from being too elated. Three times I begged the Lord about this, that it should leave me; but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”. I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, I am strong”. (2 Corinthians, 12:7-10).
I guess, to end this with what Paul saying, and we would should all say to God.
Your Grace Is Enough
