Hiding in the Tall Grass

I was sitting in the backyard listening to the morning doves and a variety of birds, as I watched the bunnies hop around.

It's a funny thing about bunnies. It is as if they are trying to hide in the high grass, but they can't, really, because of those tall ears sticking up!

The backyard is like an animal paradise on this morning, but by 10 o'clock it seems like everybody dispersed to their own tree or bush, and it quieted down, leaving me to my thoughts. 

It is nice when you can find a peaceful place to relax and observe what God has created. Sometimes it can be hard not to follow your instincts to pop up to do something, but staying put is the best thing we can do. 

I hope you can enjoy a place for yourself that provides a sense of wonderment, so that you can connect with God's creation. Find a place where you can really speak to God and listen in the quiet.

Take care of yourself today, or maybe treat seriously the adage about not working on Sunday. Creating this kind of space in your life may not be easy, or come naturally, but will definitely provide a lot of benefit when it comes to renewing your faith and recharging your battery.

Go ahead, hide in the tall grass, whenever you can!
