He Will Be Called John

Zechariah would not believe

An Angel claiming his wife would conceive

And so to help him understand

He was muted until the child was born speaking only by hand

When the child was delivered

A son Elizabeth and he had received

The Angel opened up his tongue

John is his name Zechariah’s punishment done

What a man would this child grow up to be

The predecessor leading the charge for Jesus’ worldly entry

John should be a name given for strength and discipline

For this man called the Baptist suffered martyrdom for the Cousin he believed in

So too should we have his fortitude

To proclaim our Lord and Savior with a superior attitude

Always in the mode of sharing

Always with hope of loving and caring

Remember we are not a nationality of individuals

No we are more for we are true relatives we are much more than American, European, Australian Russian or Asian

We are members of God’s Heavenly nation

We are Christians

We are God’s daughters and sons

Our job to proclaim our love for Him and for each worldly sister and brother

Yes we must learn to heed Jesus His Word and love each other
