The Holy Spirit Awaits Our Invitation
God often calls His remnant to service. He leads us in a way, often in ways we never imagined, where we could be of service. He lifts us to His purpose by filling us with abilities we never knew we could achieve. And of course, these are abilities and achievements that we could not have attained on our own. It brings us the understanding that it is God working within us because we are faithful and loving in following Him and obeying His Commandments.
We must pray for more trust in God. God wants us to share His message of Hope and salvation with others. The remnant represents a small group of people who remain faithful to God amidst challenges and adversity.
Because we are fragile, imperfect beings, we often want or believe we can only rely on ourselves, and that God has abandoned us.
The truth is God never leaves us; it is we who often abandon Him through our sinful ways. This is why praying to God to increase our trust and offering up our crosses increases our spirituality and deepens our relationship with Him. We often want him to respond to our wishes right now, but it is always in His time, not ours.
As a person who remains healthy and active at a very advanced age, I know it's because I love Him; He is my life and my priority. He has given me so much to be thankful for. He wants to give to all who love and follow Him and work to serve Him. It is only we who compromise His plan by living life according to our wishes and plans, omitting what He wants for us. God will only give love, understanding, joy, compassion, peace, the ability to forgive, tolerance, and much, much more when we remain free of sin and want to serve Him in bringing those who have lost their way back to Christ.
Those of us who have lived a long life were accepted by God to serve His desire to bring back the lost sheep, and trusting in Him will make us feel very special in being able to serve God. What better job or position in life could we claim? There is no dollar compensation; however, we all will one day come to realize that life is temporary, and the bigger picture requires us to work toward being accepted into God’s Kingdom, where we will enjoy eternity with Him.
Let us all encourage and remind one another to acknowledge our creator each day with a prayer, talk to Him, and confess our love and trust in Him.
