Walk Like an Apostle

Jesus picked Peter from the beginning

To be the leader for Peter he is so human

Sometimes he’s out there (go-Peter-go)

Other times spiritually a leader mellow

He failed miserably

After the crowing he cried greatly

And even after this mistake

Jesus still insisted Peter would be great

They told all the people to follow (go-Peter-go go-Paul-go)

To get to Jesus walk like an Apostle

Jesus picked Paul later on

After He’d left the earth and was gone

His name originally it was Saul (go-Paul-go)

Wrestled to the ground by God he now calls himself Paul

Blinded for three days was His penance

To be God’s messenger his new sentence

Until martyred like all but John

The Lord’s message did they carry on

They told all the people to follow (go-Peter-go go-Paul-go)

To get to Jesus walk like an Apostle

Their message still rings true today

To get to Heaven pray and obey (go-be-an-Apostle-go)

Don’t be worried about what people say

Like these brave Martyrs heed Jesus you’ll be okay

Yes the paths and roads are not rosy

In fact the route is miserably hard and thorny

But once through to the end so happy

As you enter through those Gates of Heaven so pearly

They told all the people to follow (go-Peter-go go-Paul-go)

To get to Jesus walk like an Apostle
