This Great Land

This Great Land

This nation was created by God through man

His only hope that to Him we listen

For to make America last

Requires heeding loving and maybe a weekly fast

For to keep us in His amazing company

We must daily and consistently pray

Praying to the Blessed Trinity

To help us stay focused on reality

To keep this great land of ours

Requires hard work and long hours

Helping those who have nothing

Offering a hug blanket or needed clothing

We’ve not done so great most recently

We’ve let in secularity

We’ve almost done away with religious liberty

Ohh that Devil deserves his misery

But with prayer

Loving your neighbor

Having a proper attitude

We will make it through this interlude

Thank the Lord and bless all you greet

Whether at a get together or on the street

Enjoy this birthday celebration

Of this America our great nation
