Mary's great journey
Given to the world, Jesus gave us on the Mount, instruction for how to deal with and comprehend emotions and daily struggles that we all face or have faced before. Leading each one with the words, "Blessed are they"… we have all felt poor in spirit, or mourned a loved one, or felt meek against a strong personality who has tried to make us feel their control. We have all hungered for righteousness for something or someone so weak that it was evident they couldn't do it alone. We've all felt the desire to be merciful, at least in thought, because I truly believe, that it is only "without" a heart one cannot feel compassion for the helpless or needy. I know the pure of heart, daily scene in the children of this world has to give us at least a twinge of longing to be that pure and that innocent. We have all dealt with struggles within our own families, to be The Peacemaker. To end the terrible strife that lies within a broken family. We have all known the feelings of being persecuted for our beliefs and convictions that it takes to proclaim the word of God, only to have people mock us or make us feel unintelligent in common sense about our conviction to our Faith in God. All leading, like I said, with the comforting words, "Blessed are they".
At one time or another, we have all fallen into one or many of these categories. At least, I pray, we have. It is not easy to be a follower of Christ, in our humaness to fit in, or be silent in situations or conversations about our Faith, we will find many who divide the truth. That is our moment. Our great test of faithfulness to the one true God who created us specifically to love Him and honor Him and justify Him. Many want to listen and follow a world that is dying. Unlike those of us, who see this world as passing on to the greater world. The real world. Where all mourning will be comforted, all persecution will be justified, the meek will inherit a crown, where all hungry shall be filled. Open your eyes to those that are truly "Blessed", for it is not in riches, fame or glory that is only provided by false gods, but, in the one true God who reigns in Heaven and calls "us" "blessed". "His" words are the "real" truth.
