The Aging Process can be a Blessing rather than a Curse

Yes I believe the  Aging Process can be a Blessing rather than a Curse.

After all God created us to share in His divinity.

I have been meditating about the awesome opportunity we older folks have in dealing with the aging process.

Consider the four methods below.

Number one ... lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven...” Matthew 6:19-2

Think about Matthew Chapter 6 verse 19. Yes we should be storing up treasure in Heaven. The aging process presents us the opportunity to offer up our trials and tribulations that come with age. Also since we cannot do as much physical activity we have the opportunity to store treasure in Heaven by praying more.

Number two The Eucharist is the Source and Summit of our Faith." Catechism 132

Since we have more time we can also store up treasure by attending Mass more often.

Number 3 "Unless you become like a child, you will not enter the Kingdom Of Heaven." Matthew 18:2-3

Children believe and surrender much easier that we do, learn from their example.

Number 4 “This is the will of God, your sanctification.” 1Thessalonians 4“

Since God wills that we become Saints we need to simply collaborate with the graces He bestows on us with the methods noted.

Finally" Our Goal is Heaven."

What more needs to be said. If the goal is Heaven then let us get cracking and Mister Bob Lord would say!
