The assassination of Charlie Kirk. What Drives Hatred — and What Breaks It
America’s Founding Was Built on Catholic Truth
The Declaration of Independence boldly proclaims that our rights are “endowed by our Creator.” That’s not secular language. That’s theological — Catholic, even.
The belief in inalienable rights flows from natural law, first articulated by St. Thomas Aquinas.
The insistence that all men are created equal echoes Genesis and the Church’s defense of human dignity from conception to death.
The idea that government must be limited by law and serve the common good is rooted in Catholic political philosophy — from Augustine to Aquinas to Bellarmine.
While many of the Founders were not Catholic, they were borrowing from Catholic moral order. Like it or not, the soul of America reflects the mind of the Church.
And if that reflection is rejected… what follows isn’t justice — it’s collapse.
Who’s Really Behind the Chaos?
It’s not just political extremists or flawed policies. It’s a rebellion against the moral order — against the God who gives law, the Church who guards it, and the family who lives it.
When men pretend to be women and demand entry into our daughters’ locker rooms…
When children are taught they can mutilate their bodies to find “truth”…
When abortion is proclaimed as “healthcare”… and marriage redefined like clay in the hands of men…
These are not just attacks on the Constitution. They’re direct assaults on what the Catholic Church has taught for 2000 years.
The attacks are spiritual, not just political.
And that’s why they feel so dark — because they are.
Rejecting America’s Core Is Rejecting the Trinity
At the heart of the Catholic Church — and at the center of real freedom — is the Most Holy Trinity:
One God.
Three Divine Persons.
Perfect unity. Eternal love. Absolute truth.
This is the God of Christianity — and the true Author of liberty.
So when society rejects:
The sacredness of life (rejecting the Father, the Creator),
The truth of the human body and marriage (rejecting the Son, who became flesh),
The voice of conscience and moral truth (rejecting the Holy Spirit, who leads us into all truth),
…they are not merely rejecting “religion.”
They are rejecting God Himself — and with Him, the very moral foundation of liberty.
This Is Not Just Culture War. This Is Spiritual War.
To attack America’s founding principles is to wage war on the moral order, and therefore on the Catholic Church — the very Body that has preserved the truth about God, man, freedom, and love.
So if you say you love America…
If you are proud to be an American…
If you cherish the Constitution and the Bill of Rights…
Then you must also cherish the Catholic Church —
Because it is from her wellspring of truth that those freedoms flow.
She carried them through dark ages, defended them against tyrants, and proclaimed them long before 1776.
To sever America from her moral roots is to cut down the very tree that gave her fruit.
And the root is the Cross.
The root is the Trinity.
The root is the Catholic Church.
It is not enough to wave a flag.
It is not enough to believe vaguely in God.
It is time to stand with Christ.
Stand with His Church.
And stand with the truth that once made America a light to the nations.
Because if we rise — if we stand with truth —
Then even now, America can be baptized anew.
