How does the Holy Spirit work within us?
This may be a topic most of us reflect upon only as we become seniors, however, it could possibly benefit us more should we contemplate this topic earlier in our lives. Therefore, I pose the question to you as I also delve into what my legacy means to me.
In doing so, I am searching for those traits that I have maintained and am most proud of throughout my lifetime. As a young person, I looked to my future and determined I wanted to become a mother one day, more than anything else in the world. And I always understood why. My mother was my hero! What she exemplified and taught her seven children was the importance of family and responsibility. Being a depression baby, times were tough, finances were meager, this developed in us a sense of humility.
My legacy with www.Catholic365.com is a legacy I am proud of, as what God has inspired in me will live on after I am gone.
Also being Catholic and teaching my children the importance of putting God first, wanting to know and understand Him to the best of our ability, and to serve Him in ways that He has provided us with that ability, is an important way to show our love for Him, and again, to become a good example to our grandchildren.
When we refrain from sin, we are becoming what God wants us to be. Today, most of my goals are not of this world, as I have lived long, enjoyed health, a productive life, and one inspired by God, especially in my spiritually mature years.
The thought of God meeting us at the time of our death, and leading us home, saying, “Well done, My faithful servant”, who could ask for anything more?
Your reflection will enable you to focus on your desired legacy and to better reach that fulfillment.
