We Don’t Skip Podcasts—Why Skip the Homily?
I get it.
You’re tired. Tired of pretending. Tired of holding it in. Tired of waking up to pain you never asked for. And maybe today… ending it feels easier than surviving another hour.
But let me ask you this:
If you go... Who picks up your pain?
You may think you're ending your problem. But really—you’re just handing it to someone else. Wrapped in silence. Tied with shock.
A week after I lost my mom, I almost lost myself too. Not to depression. Not to darkness. But to silence—the kind that screams in your ears and whispers, “This is the only way out.”
I thought ending my life would end my pain. But what I didn’t see then was this: If my mom had been alive and I had gone through with it, I would have died once... And she would have died every single hour after.
You see, we don’t just leave. We leave holes—in people, in memories, in moments that never get made.
Here’s the truth: The opposite of success isn’t failure. It’s quitting.
Failure means you tried. It means you showed up. It means you're still in the ring.
You don’t lose when you fall. You lose when you let the fall convince you that you can’t rise.
So what if… This moment—the one where you almost gave up— was actually the turning point?
What if the mess is midway, not the end?
What if your story’s best chapter hasn’t even started?
Life is not a punishment. It’s a gift - From God. From the One who created you with intention, love, and eternal purpose.
You were handcrafted by Heaven. And even if life feels like a mess right now— It’s still a sacred story in motion.
God doesn’t make mistakes. And He didn’t make one when He made you.
Maybe no one has told you this lately, But let me say it now:
You matter. Your life matters.
Not because of your grades. Not because of how many friends you have. Not because you're always smiling.
You matter because God breathed His own Spirit into you. That breath is still inside you. That’s why you’re reading this.
You may feel broken—but you are not beyond repair. You may feel lost—but God knows exactly where you are.
Life is God’s gift to you. Don’t throw it away just because it came with some pain. Unwrap it—there’s still beauty inside.
Don’t end your life in a moment of silence— When God is still writing your story out loud.
