This November, the St. Raymond Nonnatus Foundation invites you to embark on a life-changing Catholic pilgrimage to Italy, November 3–13, 2025. Led by Dr. Anne DeSantis (author of this article), Executive Director of the Foundation, this journey promises to be a time of deep prayer, fellowship, and renewal as we visit some of the most sacred places in the heart of the Church—during the extraordinary Jubilee Year of 2025, when countless graces are poured out upon pilgrims.
Our itinerary begins in the Eternal City—Rome—where we will explore St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums, and the major basilicas. We will honor the memory of Pope Francis, visiting his tomb, and celebrate the joy of our faith with a very special audience with our newly-elected Holy Father, Pope Leo XVI. From Rome, we will travel to Assisi, the peaceful hometown of St. Francis and St. Clare, where pilgrims will walk the same cobblestone streets that inspired their lives of radical simplicity and love for God.
In Orvieto, we will encounter the Eucharistic Miracle that deepens our devotion to the Real Presence, and in Lanciano, we will pray before the oldest recorded Eucharistic Miracle in Church history. A highlight for many will be visiting the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis, a modern witness to Eucharistic love and holiness in everyday life.
Throughout the pilgrimage, daily Mass, prayer, and reflection will be offered, creating opportunities to grow in faith while sharing the journey with fellow Catholics from across the country. With breathtaking art, sacred history, and the warm welcome of the Italian people, this trip will leave your heart forever changed.
A “land only” option is available for those traveling from outside the Philadelphia area.
