Jesus wants me to be a true Christian.
What does it mean to trust God? God answers all prayers of petition in His way in His time. This is not new information. You reading this are familiar with this truth of faith. We know that God answers our prayers for our benefit though we may not see it or understand. Such as how is suffering for our benefit? It’s impossible for anyone to explain the mind of God but think about this. Can we trust God unconditionally no matter what? Dare we say, “No I will not trust God! God did not answer my prayer!” If we truly believe that God exists. If we accept that God created us out of his great love for us then the idea and act of not trusting God is absurd. No one can understand God’s ways but if we lack trust in God then our belief in God is not as firm as it ought to be. This is logical even in our limited understanding of God as the Supreme Being who rules over heaven and earth. God in His complete perfection does not make mistakes.
My prayer for unconditional love and trust in God.
“Dear Lord, Sometimes I’m filled with loving delight for my Creator as my prayer is clearly and obviously answered and other times I pray and pray and pray in desperation and confusion as my prayer seems to go unanswered. Father, help me to stay firm in my faith and trust You unconditionally. Help me to accept the good and the bad, the joy and sorrow equally while praising and thanking You my God.”
This prayer is helpful to me. Now when I say a prayer of petition, I remember to thank God ahead. It’s easy to remember to thank God when we see our prayer being answered, but we usually will not remember to thank God if our prayer isn’t answered in a way we can understand. So it’s best to thank God in advance.
