Happy 4th of July?
How many titles this beloved woman holds! All by saying a simple yes, so long ago. She felt there would be joys and sorrows. But to the extent that She also suffered in the pains of Her Jesus? She accepted it. She bore it. That's a mother's love for you. Still loving. Still suffering. Still remembering and holding things deep in Her Heart.
Our Queen, our Mother, original sin not being part of Her soul, set Her apart. Her thoughts were not of this world, but only resorting to God's Holy Will in all things. Even to the point of standing there watching the "King" get judged, scourged and crucified to death. Any mother who has had to watch their child suffer and die, can be accounted alongside of Mary in this aspect. Death is hard for any loved one, but to me, especially hard, for a mother who bore the pains of childbirth to that precious little baby that they carried within them with joy for 9 months. Only to see them die while she remains alive.
Our Queen, Blessed Mother, is the role model of all mothers. She still protects, guides and is tender to us, even though She knows it was "our" sins that took Him away from Her. She is still loving us, even though She is still watching the sins of the world accumulate till they reach the Heavens, where the hand of God will slam down with His wrath. Still pleading for us, to Him, the King, on our behalf, warning us, trying to help us in a world that She knows desperately needs Her help.
Today, we honor Mary our Mother, our Queen, and thank Her with all the love one can have for a dear and precious Mother.
Mary, our Queen, Holy Mother of God, we love you. Pray for us.
