A King Is Born
Philosophy for Life
Eileen Renders
Purpose and value strengthen one’s spirit; a strong spirit energizes the will to live. Our Creator desires that purpose and value in life include empathy and compassion for others who struggle for work and cannot meet their financial responsibilities, or an ability to nourish their bodies. This leads to depression, emotional and physical needs becoming unable to be met.
Our purpose in life is most fulfilling when we recognize that we are meant to follow Christ in giving love and mercy as He taught us, through His life and His sacrifice on the Cross, where He suffered and died for our sins.
Indifference to the pain and suffering of others is a life devoid of merit.
God initiates a strong spirit in some by giving love and mercy, including wisdom and understanding as an invitation to “Carry the torch”, if you will, to others. Showing and sharing the gift of love and compassion to those in need is imperative lest we become selfish and self-centered. Whenever we become cold and self-centered by spending God’s gifts on ourselves, we risk the possibility of losing the lasting gift of spending eternity with God in His kingdom.
Satan then becomes our mentor, feeding us with inappropriate attitudes such as “Let them work”, and “I deserve what I have earned.” We are adopting an attitude that causes us to believe we are above those who have less than us. Jesus said, “When you give to the least of My brethren, you give unto Me.”
The only person that was born without sin, and for the purpose of becoming the Mother of Jesus, is Our Blessed Mother; we, on the other hand, are subject to the insidious temptations and lies of the fallen angel now known as Satan.
Our lives are meant to be lived with sacrifice and a willingness to carry our crosses, and to pray for humility.
We only have today; none are promised a new tomorrow. Therefore, we must thank god for each new day, especially for those when we remain healthy, surrounded by love, and have an opportunity to show God our gratefulness through humility and kindness, which greatly pleases God.
