St Louis and St Joseph Calasanz
Born of a Virgin, named Mary, She, destined even before Her birth to bear a baby, the Great and Holy Incarnation of the Holy Spirit into the womb of this precious Mother. Miracle of miracles, because it wrought for us a Redeemer, a Savior, our God. Into a helpless dark world, that our God, the Creator, wanted back. Stolen from the evil one at the beginning of time.
The Divine Child Jesus came. In ransom for our souls. A baby. A child. A King. Known to no one but is father and mother, the importance of His Holy birth. God's plans are always the best. The thorns and scratches on our knees are laid before us all, we must trust that He knows what He is doing.
So goes the birth of each child. The precious gift of that tiny little human being, destined to be a Saint, as we all are. By Jesus's example of obedience to Mary and Joseph, so must we teach and expect this from every child raised with love in the Holy Sacraments and our beloved Catholic faith. It is no coincidence that one of the Ten Commandments includes honoring our father and mother. The Divine Child Jesus, taught us all how to do this. In the Scriptures it even says, in so many words, that after Jesus was found in the temple, He retreated back home with Mary and Joseph in obedience unto them.
Oh Divine Child Jesus, make us little again. May we look up to the Heavens where You are, with childlike confidence and surrender our hearts with the trust that only a child can give.
