The Light

The Light

I saw a glimmer

Out of the darkness

Over there

As I approach my heart fonder

For there it was

That which brought me out of my wonder

It lit up the earth the sky

So enthralled

I hope to never say goodbye

This emerald this shining jewel

Did I discover

It was God’s Word in the Church the Holy Bible

The darkness my sin

The light

On only when I’ve asked to be forgiven

His light it is forever shining

I need Him His Light

With it I can stop the darkness from coming

He has given me so much and so great

I must continue hope

I do not wish evil’s fate

So much to gain

So much to lose

Please Lord I truly want Heaven

Let me always be guided by Your Light

Don’t let me hide it

Yes sin truly results in an ugly fright

Amen
