So, I decided that I was going to write this to a woman that I've decided to call Elisabeth. Elisabeth is a fictional character in a real story. She's a stand in for a real person, but, because I didn't want to use that person's real name, I decided to use the name Elisabeth. And there's a reason I chose that name.
“Elisabeth, I'm a bit confused. Why do you seem to live a life privately, so differently than you do publicly? How come I can say almost anything about you, but you hid one of the most important aspects, if not the most important aspect, of your life from me? You know, I am still offering my unconditional love.
I'm upset with you at the moment, but, that's what I figured that you need.
How come you're trying to convince the rest of the world of one thing, while you acted differently with me? Why was I an emotional confidant, yet, you said you would do nothing to hurt me, but hiding this aspect of your life, hurt me? Elisabeth, I know that you know God exists, and I know that you know God will judge you.
But, have you considered the need to judge your own actions? I was willing to be one of your best friends for several years, and for half that time, you kept a secret from me that was known to everyone else.
Do you know how much I love you? Do you know how much I still would have loved you, even if you had told me?
Obviously, I would have done things differently, but, you didn't give me that option.
And you might say to yourself that I'm judging you. No, Elisabeth, I'm not judging you. I'm asking you to be the type of woman I know that you are in private. Honest, caring, and vulnerable.
You're better than this.
“The end of the matter, all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil”. (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14).
“But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexual immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death”.
(Revelation 21:8).
Elisabeth, I am calling for you repentance, not your condemnation.
I love you. Please get help.
