A PRESENCE EVERLASTS
Transcendence
I.
Moments after I heard you had passed - memories cascaded - you had breathed your last.
Bereft as a lonesome, barren field with hoar frost on bent weeds after harvest.
Whispers on a gentle breeze- conveying secrets to the trees.
Wise, rooted in fertile soil, nourished by sunlight and mountain rain.
Pure, clear spring water pouring out amongst rocks, an oasis from pain.
Wash my wounded emotions, the hurt that wears me out through and through.
Glimmers of light dance upon the water like splinters that are too far, too few.
Care, nurture me on warm milk, a hug from the inside, essence of life, builds bone, marrow and sustenance.
Unbridled love, the sight of a storied stallion blazing across fields, through forests, bounding over fences.
Come now, find me searching for meaning in the sky, daisies nodding along.
Amongst the sweet, melodic sounds of nature and its creatures, a blessed song.
Here am I fruitful and fearless for love unconditional and true ever remains when the husk withers and sinks beneath.
How say you about friendships that last beyond earthly constraints and bequeath.
II.
To those left behind in their particular season of life, carry the light within and share celestial mysteries that emanate.
Nothing is lost that is given freely without hesitation, a paradox of giving, more gained - never late.
To whom much is given, much is expected, strength and character proved and tested.
In a crucible there lies gold, refined in scorching fire, true, precious and wholly vested.
