Let God save you
Our beloved little flower, St Therese, waited and waited and waited. In all her sufferings she waited. Sometimes patiently, sometimes hastily, but always with love, for her dear Jesus, to release her from this world, so that she could join Him in the splendor of Heaven, to be with Him forever honoring and praising Him.
Today is our sweet Saints feast day. Not only is she an intercessor, but she teaches us how to wait patiently. Waiting patiently needs a special Grace from God. We are not conditioned to be patient. We want it now, taking the power out of God's hands and placing it in ours, which have no power. God alone has the power. His timing is not like ours. Timing is everything. God knows that and He knows what He is doing. But we, being a very self-serving and impatient breed are conditioned by society and pride to want it now and not to wait.
It's funny, I think, because it really doesn't speed up the process at all. Because God will do as He deems. Our prayers can help protect the desire, but ultimately, it is in God's timing, that things will happen.
Ah! The waiting game. May we pray for the great Grace of Patience. He grants it to us! All we have to do is ask!
My Lord, my God. Give me the great Grace of Patience today. In Thy Love for me, help me to wait with love and joy and trust. Always remembering, that "your" timing is the "perfect" timing.
