History: Valid or Hyperbole?
With Families we all shall Endure
Because of the trend of having a lot of children, the progeny of life never goes out of style. It always was a Catholic tradition to beget large families until the requirements of raising them became expensive or just too much to handle.
Today we find that some couples are satisfied with no more than two or three and in many cases no children at all. It makes the words of God to multiply seem empty by today’s standards; “God blessed them saying, “Be fertile and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it.”
Of course these words were spoken through the writers or promoters of God’s desire to see a population explosion to actually subdue the planet since he expects to have a lot of people to share eternity with. This was when writing became the effort to explain the purpose of humanity.
Man is the summit of the Creator’s work, as the inspired account expresses by clearly distinguishing the creation of man from that of the other creatures. (CCC 343).
God willed the diversity of his creatures and their own particular goodness, their interdependence, and their order. He destined all material creatures for the good of the human race. Man, and through him all creation is destined for the glory of God. (CCC 353).
God created everything for man, but man in turn was created to serve and love God to offer all creation back to him: (CCC 358). What is it that is about to be created, that enjoys such honor? It is man-that great and wonderful living creature, more precious in the eyes of God than all other creatures! For him the heavens and the earth, the sea and all the rest of creation exist. God attached so much importance to his salvation that he did not spare his own Son for the sake of man. Nor does he ever cease to work, trying every possible means, until he has raised man up to himself and made him sit at his right hand. (St. John Chrysoom).
In reality it is only in the mystery of the Word made flesh that the mystery of man truly becomes clear. (CCC 359).
God never deigned to limit the offspring of parents or to put a stop to children who would become part of the family of man to share with God a creation that would be everlasting and without numbers in eternity.
This is why the proclamation of only a man and woman, are to be the parents of offspring, and there must be a continuation of children to fill the world of humanity without an end. Homosexual unions dissuade the probability of children and abortions have become the evils that follow the ancient sacrifice of children to the god Molech. Both are an abomination before God and the termination of the desire for God’s pleasure to give more humans the possibility to share eternity with him.
