Banning books does not ban sin

Why does God allow sin to exist in the world? This is a question that has been pondered throughout human history. The simple answer is that sin exists because free will exists. God allows us to choose the path that we wish to set for ourselves in life. For this reason, books should never be banned. God gave us free will to choose who we become. This is for better or for worse. As we journey through life, we should be able to explore all ideas, whether they are good or bad. It is for us to decide whether or not we choose sin. We can only know sin if we can explore all that is good as well as all that is bad. Banning books does not prevent this from occurring. We can not be truly free and truly honor God if we are hiding ideas from ourselves and from others. God created us to flourish and to be free. It is not up to us to take away that freedom from others. It is up to us to support the freedom of those around us by exploring all ideas, no matter if they are full of ethics or sin.
