Are You Guilty of the Sin of 'Detraction'?
How many times a day do you get frustrated, angry, sad, mad ---well, we humans are very emotional, aren't we?
Try as we may to live life daily in God's love---we will fail. For we are weak and have been touched by the sin of Adam passed down. This Adam trait/sin is essentially the same as human nature.
We from the beginning of our conception in the womb will receive human emotions and personality traits passed down from parents. After we are born, again we receive and experience the good and the bad, the hurtful and the sad--and become scarred, sometimes deeply wounded or traumatized that affects our own human behavior until we die.
Try as I may, everyday, I will say or do something that is sinful, hurtful, and this behavior leaves me at times hating myself because I AM HUMAN, and weak!!
Even to say the Act of Contrition, where I promise to sin no more--is a lie! I know soon, somewhere in the course of the day--I will. :(
Let us remember always, how understanding and merciful our Lord is. As soon as we come to Him to seek forgiveness--He will forgive us. He knows our thoughts, our actions and knows all of what we have been touched by due to other human's behaviors and weaknesses in the course of our life.
So, no matter what, we must pray--"Father forgive us this day our trespasses as we forgive those who have trespassed against us." Jesus knew that we needed this Perfect Prayer-- because He knew we are ALL HUMAN and will sin again and again.
This weakness is a blessing too, for if we were perfect--Pride would be the greatest sin that we would not recognize perhaps. From our mouth would come ---"I am, I can, I do, I have etc." Or, "My, my, my, my see all that I have done that makes me such a perfect person."
Yes, weakness, or better yet "meek" like a lamb--is a GOOD trait that keeps us wanting to be embraced by God's love and mercy--IF WE SEEK this, and ask for forgiveness.
Pray without ceasing, equals seeking God's help, mercy and love all the time, all the day long.
"Do not be angry with yourself, dear one;for that blocks the love and peace of God from flowing from your heart and radiating from your face. To reflect the Son's Light--look up and recieve His Merciful Love.
The alternative? Keep sinking into a deep pit---being a slave to your dispair from the guilt of all you do wrong in your life. This leads to an addiction of any kind. (Perfect prayer for this is Psalm 130.)
Only a human enters into God's Kingdom, no robots, cell phones, A1 technology found there. Oh, wait---the "New City of Jerusalem coming down from the heavens does sound like a UFO!! I may be wrong, oops--human error there! :)
