For Eucharistic Revival in this Current Storm Look to the Norbertines
A conspiracy theory either gains traction or is disproven over time as evidence emerges (or fails to emerge). This is why many podcasters have opted for the ‘24 hour rule’. This rule states that one should refrain for at least 24 hours from drawing conclusions about news stories based on the initial set of facts which are often contaminated with errors or misinformation. This begs the question, “Is it prudent to draw conclusions or assert that one knows that the media or the government is lying before the fog of war clears in any news story?”.
For those who haven’t been following it, Candace Owens has asked questions publicly about the circumstances surrounding the assasination of her friend Charlie Kirk. From the beginning, things just didn't sit right with her.
At a time when conspiracy theories are constantly being proven true due to an unyielding pursuit of truth by independent journalists, many people have been tuning in to Candace who claims to ‘know’ that there is a conspiracy to hide the facts about Kirk’s September 10th death.
For Candace, whose most recent conspiracy theory centered around the biological gender of the wife of the French prime minister, Emmanuel Macron, this Charlie Kirk story is personal and not just 'click-baity'.
Candace used to tour campuses with Turning Point USA at the side of Charlie. She was his trusty side kick in dismantling the one-sided brainwashing that many college students have undergone. Candace has fearlessly or recklessly (depending on how you view Candace) asserted that there is a cover up by the Feds and a false narrative being pushed as a smoke-screen or distraction.
Remarkably, she has uncovered several holes in the official narrative which was spun, according to Candace and any reasonable person, by the release of a very strange and implausible text exchange between the supposed killer and his roommate. According to Candace, she has spoken to family members of the room mate and the suspect and their story differs from the press releases.
Furthermore, her sources have revealed that the bullet was lodged under the skin at the base of the neck of Charlie close to his spine. It entered from the left side of his neck, damaged his artery but did not exit the body.
This would rule out that (the photo of ) a high powered rifle found in the wooded area nearby which the FBI and other agencies have claimed is the weapon that fired the bullet that killed Charlie.
Candace has opened up dozens of leads. Most have been dead ends. She has been asking viewers to help investigate everything from pipe valves to hidden trap doors. So far, her crowd sourced information derived from an army of online, DIY sleuths has uncovered more questions than answers. Like a soap opera, her YouTube channel is becoming more and more popular as the many twists and turns of this saga draws out.
Candace, a recent convert to Catholicism, was one of the first to claim that Charlie was leaning toward conversion himself. In addition to a religious conversion he was also changing his mind about politics which upset many of his donors. Candace skillfully set a trap for those close to Charlie who claimed that he was firmly in support of Israel's brutal war against Hamas and that her claims were unfounded. In her release of a text exchange she proved that Charlie moved away from a pro-Israel stance and a rejection of Israel’s muscular influence campaign. Andrew Kolvet, the producer of Charlie Kirk's show and spokesman for TPUSA, confirmed, live on The Charlie Kirk Show, that the text messages Candace Owens shared that Charlie was "abandoning his pro-Israel stance" are authentic. She hasn’t said it outright, but Candace seems to imply that Charlie was assassinated because of this political conversion.
As the plot thickens, many Candace fans are rooting for her to root out the truth. Owens believes that truth will eventually emerge, stating that "The truth is inevitable" and that people are lying but that the truth will, in the end, be known because Jesus is Truth and Jesus is Lord.
So basically, according to Candace, as it is now she doesn't ‘know’, know, but intuitively she knows. Meanwhile, the lack of transparency by those tasked with the investigation is only further fueling the conspiracy theories.
