"God's Suffering Servant"
In the Emptiness of life the Lord will fill that Void
It will be the grace that God will shed upon each person if only they remember to give praise to God for the blessedness he continues to give us. It isn’t that God needs anything from us except to adhere to his generous love that has no limits. “The Wilderness Experience” (3/20/2017) an article I wrote some time ago reflecting three attributes (Loneliness, Emptiness, Dryness). It is with an empty soul that we will look at here.
Jesus warned his disciples about an empty soul; When an unclean spirit goes out of a person it roams through the regions searching for rest but finds none. Then it says, “I will return to my home from which I came.” But upon returning, it finds it empty, swept clean, and put in order. Then it goes and brings back with itself seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they move in and dwell there, and the last condition of that person is worse than the first. Thus it will be with this evil generation. (Mt 12: 43 - 45).
There is an emptiness that needs to be filled with the presence of Christ whenever we confess our sins and then do nothing to replace that void. Without that presence of holiness and righteousness the void will become filled with untold enemies that could destroy our soul. As with the last sentence from the mouth of Jesus regarding this evil generation it holds as truth exactly what we are facing in today’s society.
Is it any wonder that the newspapers and TV news networks are at a loss to explain what is happening with our college students that are looking for something that fits the New-age philosophies. Instead of contributing to help improve any needless corruption portrayed on people who are being scrutinized they are joining in the attacks on those that disagree with their philosophies. This also is a manner of cleaning unwanted ideas and replacing them with an ideology that will begin to destroy deep within their souls a cancer from which no Chemo treatments have yet to be found. This is exactly what Jesus was referring to when he warned that this generation will be worse than any that went before them.
Unfortunately most of the students seeking an education that will promote improvement for themselves and the world they hope to sustain with beneficial modern ideas will become an evil input of society that only evil impacts on goodness will take over a world that Christ came and died to save.
As in previous articles there has been a moral battle between what is righteous and the need to hold its truth as impregnable so that the evil of Satanic influence cannot get beyond the Christian wall of truth that Christ was crucified for. Some who believe that attending church services and adhering to what the presider tells them to do then leaves the sanctuary of the church and follows the rule of apostasy and anti-christ options have emptied themselves of grace that never was inside them. Their condition is now bending into a chasm of evil that brings them in line with the devil and his demonic possession. People like this may have already put up a wall that even God’s grace cannot penetrate due to an absence of divine adherence. They may have reserved a spot in hell that is a oneway trip into eternity.
