Blessed Saint Anne Catherine Emmerick
One of 70 of Jesus's Apostles, St Luke was sent by God to preach and write one of the four Gospels. He was a Physician and a Gentile. He accompanied Saint Paul on many of his missions and is regarded as Patron of Physicians and Artists.
Luke's tenderness in his writings of the Gospel has him translate his words with a certain artistic and deeply felt sound, especially when he speaks about Mary. He is heartfelt, and the sense of a cultivated literary background is said Spiritually and Meaningfully from the soul. Clearly guided by God's hand, he gives us "the Gospel of St Luke". Many incidents and words that he transcribed were from listening and following good Saint Paul. A wonderful teacher of the life of Jesus. The Acts of the Apostles, Fifth Book of the New testament was originally written in Greek by St Luke.
Truly an Apostle of Jesus, although not present at Jesus's earthly life, is clear to see, that God had handpicked him to write one of the four Gospels through Paul's testimony and words. Being a believer and follower of Christ.
Read the Gospels of Luke and you will reaccustom yourself with the Life of Jesus. In all its Wonder, with the miracles, heartache, joy and sorrow of Jesus and Mary's and the 12 Apostles lives. Placing ourselves in the hands of St Luke, we can read and follow the life of God's only Son. It is enriching and fulfilling to the soul and gives you the sense of how gentle one can be in their depiction and truth of a life that was meant and based on truth itself.
Saint Luke, Evangelist and writer of the Gospel, pray for us!
