An unknown journey to Eternal Peace; a series of Old Testament Prophecies. (# Two) of four.)
Out of a reluctance to obey God we shall fail without Wisdom
First and foremost we need to understand just what type of obeying we are expected to adhere to since God is so loving and patient with his creatures.
Look at Creation where God placed the first humans in his marvelous garden that was for their use and care taking. Then the Lord took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden, to cultivate and care for it. The Lord gave man this order, “You are free to eat from any of the trees of the garden except the tree of knowledge of good and bad. From that tree you shall not eat; the moment you eat from it you are surely doomed to die.” (Gb 2: 15 - 17).
There is an understanding of following directions in any type of relationship that involves more than one person; be it a position in cultural circumstances or even between two people in a partnership. Even a marriage can be considered a partnership as far as controlling expenses, guidance towards children, and even the intimacy that both are brought into through a common love. That is not a relationship that places one partner over the other as in control of their emotions. But it does present an understanding of equal responsibilities that makes for an equitable relationship of perfect adherence to sharing everything.
When the serpent tempted Eve by inducing her to eat of the fruit from the forbidden tree she naturally used her part of the marriage relationship to share the mistake of failing to listen to what God ordered them not to do.
She and her husband were not alone in disobeying the Omnipotent position of God. Lucifer, the most beautiful archangel, even though alone in his prideful desire to challenge the Lord, God, for his Majesty, became another creature that decided that God’s Omnipotence was not of any respect to follow.
And so, in every relationship among created beings in the universe, there will always occur the reluctance of at least one partner who may decide to disobey what was made for their own benefit and bring about a question of respect to the entity that created them.
With Adam and Eve God forbade them to remain in the garden which was given as an easy and relaxing place to enjoy the life he gave them. Since they decided to disobey the very requirement their Creator handed to them, he now required them to work for what they must have for life. It was no different for Lucifer who was not content with the exalted position God gave him as the Chief Archangel would now be excluded from his presence in heaven for all eternity. Both situations, with Adam and Lucifer, would be denied of what God originally ordained for them; a perfect life for all eternity. They both failed through a reluctance of a simple demand which was not overbearing.
Each of us, whether in a relationship with another human or the close connection with Almighty God, are at the understanding of accepting the position we have been given to live in an equitably designed circumstance that makes all of the universe a creation of a clock-like machine that the Lord, God, created. When a master builder develops his creation he does so with the most possible outcome that will benefit everyone or everything to suit his design. This is exactly what our Creator, God, had in mind for Adam and Lucifer with their creation. They set the example of a reluctant entity and each of us has followed their example.
However, with the exception of Lucifer, each of us has been given the opportunity to repent of our self-determination of disobeying God and will indeed be given a place in eternity with the Holy Trinity and all of our loved ones as well.
God of my fathers, Lord of mercy, you who have made all things by your word and in your wisdom have established man to rule the creatures produced by you, to govern the world in holiness and justice, and to render judgment in integrity of heart: Give me wisdom, the attendant at your throne, and reject me not from among your children; for I am your servant, the son of your handmaid, a man weak and short-lived and lacking in comprehension of judgment and of laws. Indeed, though one be perfect among the sons of men, if Wisdom, who comes from you, be not with him, he shall be held in no esteem. (Wis 9: 1 - 6).
