Do You Want Jesus on Your Own Terms?
Lately I’ve been doing more traveling, and have randomly met a couple special people who seemed to have something to teach me.
Two things I enjoy about traveling are meeting different people and learning about their backgrounds, what they do, and what’s important to them.
Three people in particular recently re-kindled a special calling. Two of them just happened to be seated next to me on different occasions and we struck up profoundly meaningful conversations, realizing that we had a special connection in what we wanted out of life, and similar values. They, in essence, were doing the dream that God placed in me.
It’s caused me to contemplate if we pay enough attention to the people in our midst – even the people who seem random and coincidental. Do they have a part to play in the will of God and in the path you are meant to take? Do they have a special message to give you? Do they come in like a gust of wind and leave swiftly just to serve a single purpose?
I believe so. The question is, are we open to that and are we paying enough attention to who God is placing in our path? Do we have eyes to see and ears to hear God’s voice and presence in our neighbor? If not, we may be missing the message God is trying to give us, and critical connections with fellow members of the Body of Christ.
