What evil is not, and good coming from evil
Before we get started, if you'd like to help me out, please go here; Help with medical bills, and please, check out my previous article; Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways!
“O LORD, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high;
I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.
But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child is my soul within me.
O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and forevermore”. (Psalm 131)
So, let's look through this. Because I thing there is some wisdom with not occupying yourself with things too great and too marvelous. I think there are a lot of people want the biggest, grandiose things.
I think there are some people that are obsessed with fame or trying to impress people.
Spoiler: you don't need to be famous.
When I die, people will be able to read what I write, and I may or may not be famous, but, giving how famous people act, I think I'd be okay being moderately famous but not like a rock star.
Interesting how it says “calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother”. I certainly know what weaning is like (remember, my two youngest sisters are almost young enough to be my daughters, and I have a multitude of nieces and nephews), but, I'm not sure what the Psalmist means in this.
But, one thing that, I thing we can all agree to (especially if you're reading this), is,
“O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and forevermore”.
