Ways Catholics Can Celebrate America’s Birthday
My brothers and sisters of New York,
Your city has been a concrete jungle filled with dreams, ambitions, and even energy. It has been a cultural and commercial hub for locals and travelers alike.
Many who visit or live in the “Big Apple” will spot a celebrity, ring in the New Year after hours of freezing in the tundra-like temperature, and even enjoy the luxury of a Broadway show. The New York Yankees were the most dominant franchise thanks to Babe Ruth, Derek Jeter, Joe DiMaggio, and others who proudly wore the blue pinstripes in between.
In the 19th and 20th centuries, immigrants saw the Statue of Liberty and were enthusiastic to make a brand-new start in their lives and that of their families. Some credit their quest for freedom as the reason for coming to America.
Upon landing in New York, these immigrants from Ireland, Italy, Germany, Poland, and other countries were eager to learn the language, work hard to provide for their families, and take part in the legal process of becoming proud US citizens. They would go on to serve when the country called in war, build Little Italy, build the Brooklyn Bridge, and many attractions known to locals and tourists
New York has made many headlines over the years. In 2001, many were rocked by the tragic events of 9/11. The city came together as one.
Now, New York is faced with a challenge. Zohran Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist, is running in the election to become the Mayor of a city of opportunity. Sadly, this anti-American assemblyman is looking to make New York a hotbed for jihad with the thought of enforcing Sharia Law.
Mamdani has said how much he wants to destroy America, and he can start by destroying a city where dreams come true for many.
New York, where are you going? Do you want the once great city to become a third-world country under Mamdani, who will allow criminals to pillage, rape, and murder like the Huns? Did you not learn from 9/11 or the 1993 bombing?
Tuesday, November 4th, is a chance for you to avert this imminent disaster.
America has seen enough traitors and treasonous actors. It is time to rise up and defend the Big Apple on Election Day.
Pray without ceasing
