A vestige of Hope where so many have dropped away from Grace
Shh, Listen; Someone is about to Speak
It isn’t through the inner-ear that the voice of God will speak; it’s through the strings of the heart where signs of glory will reveal what has been waiting for you to see; with eyes of faith! It was to those whom you were sent with one important fact of grace; to warn them to give up their greed through avarice. Here is the one attribute of selfish desires that stands as a block to eternal happiness because it is their god that they cannot let go of.
As you remain with the shortness of human life, you are mandated to reach into their heart which is the device of hearing their warning that deepens their weakness to let go of the idol that covers the sense of whose God they really know but will not sacrifice their god of greed.
Let the Spirit of hidden whispers enter the busy mind of man’s useless endeavors. When we think our tasks are going to change the world and everyone in it, look again at the loss of wasted beliefs that go no further than the sound of earthquakes and storms. Like Elijah waiting at the mouth of a cave and watching to hear God as he is passing by. It is only the sound of a tiny whisper that opens his mind to the wisdom of God that comes to us without shouting or force.
Before us are those whom God has sent us to correct from a presence of godly worship of avarice along with other demons of selfishness will never know what they have accumulated unless we may point out these evils that literally infest the entire world. I shudder to think that even if they are at our bedside and before we leave this world, our warning will fall short of their listening and take with themselves a loss of heavenly bliss.
We often do not hear this message preached simply because it is a semblance of “perhaps or just in case” and most will not take it to heart that they are at the root of these human gods and close their ears as well as their eyes to what is so close to their hearts. What is it that Jesus said about wealth? “For where your treasure is, there also will be your heart.” (Mt 6: 21).
How often we take to heart the warning against sins of the human flesh; commission. But rarely about the sins of omission replacing goodness with greed, selfishness, and self-preservation towards earthly treasures that hold a ticket to hell.
Hear, O Israel, the commandments of life; Listen, and know prudence! Had you walked in the way of God, you would have dwelt in the way of God, you would have dwelt in enduring peace. Learn where prudence is, where strength, where understanding; That you may know elsewhere are the length of days, and life, where light of the eyes, and peace. Who has found the place of wisdom, who has entered into her treasuries?” (Bar 3: 9, 13 - 15).
Love justice, you who judge the earth; think of the Lord in goodness, and seek him in integrity of heart. For the holy spirit of discipline flees deceit and withdraws from senseless counsels; and when injustice occurs it is rebuked. For wisdom is a kindly spirit. (Wis 1: 1, 5 - 6).
