Saint Helena
Our Bishops, our priests, our Pope, are under attack. Guess by who? The laity. Yes, everyone, the laity. Some disgruntled person listening to the sermon, doesn't agree with the words spoken in the priest's moments at the pulpit, talking to his flock. Then comes the stirring. The manipulation that occurs from talking amongst themselves. Psyching up each other to contact the Bishop on their views of that priest. Then the burden lies on a higher authority. Courage dear and Holy shepherds. Courage to say that is it is all right to speak publicly about how wrong it is for drag queens reading stories at the library for our beautiful children to hear and watch. Courage to speak publicly and sternly about the dangers of premarital sex. The priest's hands are now tied if the Bishop does not want to deal with it. There is a "Famine of Courage" going on and it is unfair. We must support our priests in prayers and in petition to lead the flocks they have been assigned to lead and protect them with the Truth.
Kevin Wells, a Catholic journalist, and writer on many Catholic articles speaks about the "non" courage of not only the priests, but the Bishops who refuse to listen, refuse to rock the unsteady boat of our times. The laity needs to hear that it is wrong to support gay and homosexual unions. It is wrong to expose these angels who sit with their families in the pews at Mass, to the non-speaking of the dangers of free sex and compliance to a world that is telling them that it is okay. Yes, we must always hate the sin and not the sinner and speak to them only the Truth.
Many children are lost and leave the fold because of the neglect of the direction from the shepherd and parents who are unwilling to listen, only to please themselves, in short, in their neglect to represent sermons and teachings that may be difficult to hear. The sermon at the pulpit must be directive to God and with reminder of God's Commandments and Statutes and then must be enforced at home. Who would see a little lamb stray from the fold on the green pasture and not run to retrieve it back to the fold? That is the priest's responsibility as well as the parents. But if he does not have support from the laity, or even, dare I say, the Bishops, that little lamb keeps straying farther and farther away till it is lost.
Please, listen to the podcast on "United States Grace Force" with Doug Barry and Father Richard Heilman, with guest speaker Kevin Wells. Kevin speaks about the crisis and the cure for clergy today. They talk about standing up for the truth and how this crisis is affecting many of our clergy today.
Kevin speaks about a sort of "genuflection" to modern secularism and how our priests are afraid to publicly speak on topics that need to be spoken out against, because of some laities opinion that it is not appropriate or wrong. We need to stop genuflecting to this world and put our knees to the ground before the One True God and His Commandments. To have Courage to speak the Truth and speak in defense to a flock who is so desperately needing to hear these true words of God.
Parents everywhere are in need of help, raising children in this modern secular world. Hearing words of encouragement to stand strong against the evils of this world. To have Courage as they help mold these little ones into real warriors for God.
We, as laity, must encourage our Bishops, our priests, each other, to speak publicly about the evils of this world and those who refuse to listen, those who refuse to rock the unsteady boat of our times. The laity needs to hear that it is wrong to support gay and homosexual unions. It is wrong to expose these angels who sit with their families at Mass, to non-speaking on the dangers of pre marital sex and to not stay in compliance to a world that is telling them that it's okay.
Many children are lost and leave the fold because of the neglect of direction and protection from the shepherd. The sermon at the pulpit must be directive to God and with a reminder of God's Commandments and Statutes. I say it again.
The podcast is called "the crisis and the cure for clergy today". They talk about standing up for the truth and how this crisis is affecting so many priests and Bishops and laity. We are not to chastise the shepherds but encourage them to speak the Truth wherever possible. Without fear. Only Courage.
The argument will arise about the fallen priests, but that, to me, is a cop-out. As far as the laity goes that is about control. All priests and religious are human. Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone. There will be no Stones thrown.
Pray, for courage, pray for the priests, pray for the Bishops and our beloved Pope. Let us pray for ourselves. And the courage that comes from surrendering to God's words. All are being attacked and need prayers for protection from this modern secularism. "We" need protection from this modern secularism. Mary will do it. Our Beloved Mother. She is powerful and will hold those that ask for Her protective Mantle to cover us, and she will secure us from the harm that our ears and eyes may see from the evil one and help give us courage to fight the evil that is becoming stronger by the day.
Mary, our Mother of Perpetual Help, protect us and all priests, in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, your beloved Son and Father of the Truth.
