The Servant Train

We should all try to emulate

A butler or maid a true and honest servant

One who serves happily and is never angry or late

They who always offer a true compliment

Yes serving others seems beneath us

But it’s what we’ve been asked to do

Serving our fellow man per the Lord Jesus

Happily and joyously too

It is a task that’s tough to complete

Being as we tend to be selfish and prideful

Our own human nature and ego we want to keep

But to make it to Heaven we must be empty not full

We need to learn to be open

No longer wanting or desiring

But willing to say all is not even

And that’s okay for then I’m truly helping

Then will we have entered the train

The servants line to Heaven awaits

Climb aboard but be prepared to work or entertain

As we head to the Land of the Pearly Gates
