How Much Love Is Jesus feeling From Us?

When I think of a Love Song for couples in love and about to marry, the song that comes to mind might be;

“How much do I love you? Let me count the ways”. If we wrote a song to Jesus to tell of our love for Him, what might your title be? Better yet, let us list the reasons why we love God so much.

1.     God created me

2.     God loved me enough to give me life

3.     God promises that those who love Him will spend eternity with Him

4.     God provided a family, a mother, and a father

5.     God may have given us a spouse and children to love

6.     God came to earth and died to save us from sin

7.     God lived on Earth until His Crucifixion to be an example for us, and also,

The Apostles to lead us, He gave us the 10 Commandments

8.      God found the Catholic Church, where we can visit and praise God

9.     God provides a way for all His children to serve Him if they are sincere and able

Following the Commandments is a must for living a Catholic life and professing our belief in Catholicism. However, growing in our spiritual life requires a deeper relationship with Christ. Many seem to believe, however, that following the Commandments alone is all that is needed to grow in one’s faith. To some extent, this is true.

Yet sacrificing and serving Christ is how we show our Love for Christ. We are all called to be disciples, and disciples show their great love and gratefulness to God by serving Him. We accomplish this by using our gifts, intelligence, talents, and time to serve others for the sake of Christ. “Bringing in the sheep, if you will.”

For God has said, “What you do for the least of my brethren, you have done unto Me.”
