The power of the holy souls in purgatory
Well it's that time of year again! How many times have you heard that? When I hear it, it helps me prepare for a change. Change is good. It helps one be able to adapt in any kind of situation. Living in Nebraska, you better be ready for the Seasons because you never know what may come. It used to be people in Texas or California would long to feel and see the snow. But now, with the weather being so crazy, they don't have to wait. Those were the yesteryears. My children who are in their forties now and still have not really experienced snow the way I did. We lived with a porch and sometimes the snow would be so high you could fall into it backwards and not even get hurt. Snow blowers were for City workers, otherwise, you used a good strong metal snow shovel and worked your way through. Thankfully, I had two brothers who would help my dad and they would get the job done. Sometimes the snow falls on my Soul. Sometimes it's heavy and wet, making it difficult for me to plow through. Other times, it's soft and gentle with that stillness that makes one close their eyes and just let the flakes fall upon you. No matter the weather of my Soul, I feel assured, that God won't let the temperature go below freezing. He gives me just the right amount of warmth to melt the barriers, so I can see my way and walk through.
Yes! Here comes the snow. May God be near us always and let our eyes be able to see those snow plow lights in the Winter's blizzard.
