As the winds of sands fly
Buffeting the ages of time
One worries of sins past
Stepping slowly into the cast

Caring more the soul
Of demons grating glance
One worries of sins past
Listens more closely to the Mass

Once was no troubles alluring
Goings here and there
Celebrating this and that
Drinking in all that fat

Sands wind burned faces
Now disturbing things lost
Life lessons learned hard and fast
Sins are like sands wind enact

Words in absolution listening
A priest's lips speaking
Of Him Holy in knowledge knowing
Join then together of saints seeking

Grace souls filling
Him crucified giving
Over evil coming
Deliverance now being

I have a BA from DePaul University in Communications where I studied genre literature, sociology, and scripture, and I also have an AA from Triton College in Journalism.
I have worked as a correctional officer and supervisor for Department of Corrections and am now retired.
I served in the military, US Army E4 Spec 4--Signal Corps.
I have a Black Belt 1st degree in martial arts and taught correctional officers, women, and children of single parent families skills for self defense.
I am currently a Lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary of Celle Church in Berwyn IL.
