Venerable Mary of Jesus of Agreda -the Blue nun
Water is clear. The moon is yellow. And snowflakes are white. They rained down from the pureness of Heaven so it is appropriate that their delicate little edges are molded from the radiance of God. The snow sky is white while the summer sky is blue. With Reverence to our Mother Mary as the Mediatrics of the Heavens. Blue is Her color while white is our God. The purity of His promise, the cleansing of His domain.
When the snow falls, the glistening of the color covers the ground with a newness. Covering the trampled darkness upon which they lay. Warmth soothes the soul with these precious flakes as it tells us a new Season is here and awaits a different one to follow.
The Sacred Host is white. The saving Bread of the Angels. Straight from Heaven to our Souls with Hope and rejuvenation, just like a snowflake bringing its moisture to the dry parched land. Our Souls become dry and parched and it is good we refresh them with the Holy Host. Our God.
As the snowflakes fall, take notice of the fact that not one is like the other. Perfect in each they represent a perfect God. Let us rejoice in the white snowflakes that fall and resign ourselves to a God who is perfect in all things. Even the snowflakes.
