Have that Mass said!

     How much money have you spent on meaningless things? On lottery tickets, at going out to eat. Etc. I'll bet if we had it recorded, we would see it's been hundreds of dollars. Spending your money on Masses said for a Holy Soul in Purgatory, gets your money reimbursed 100 fold. It is so reasonable. And so worth it. What? Five or $10 to help a loved one or someone who has no one to pray for them, achieve their final Crown of Glory? Their prayers for us are so beneficial to our own Salvation. They cannot help themselves now, now that their judgment has been sentenced. But oh! How they can help us and be able to walk into heaven with their head held high. What a beautiful and wonderful exchange of sentiments. Plus, they are so appreciative. They're intercessory prayers for us help us achieve goodness here on earth. We still have time to change. They do not. The levels of Purgatory come with their own set of rules. Suffering much at the lower level and the highest being a suffering, waiting game, where our prayers are most beneficial to them. 

     Prayer, sacrifice and the saying of Masses said for the Holy Souls in Purgatory are keys to our own admittance into Paradise. Their prayers for us can strengthen us, or help show us the way in difficult situations. They love us, but their love for God is so strong that that is what makes their prayers so powerful. 

     So, the next time you feel like spending money on something useless, put that money where it will do the most good. Have a Mass said for a Holy Soul in Purgatory. Keep doing it, until God calls our souls home. Where hopefully, someone will pray for us in return.
