How the spirit differs from our Soul
I am reminded of an old saying, “No man is an Island”, meaning man is not meant to live alone. This is what drives most of us to marry and have children. We also bring home a pet to love and care for. Experiments have shown that when monkeys were raised and fed without their mother,
most of them do not thrive. They become skinny and frightened, and are very unsettled and anxious. We may wonder, “Why is this so?”
When we consider the Ten Commandments that Jesus left us, we can clearly see how each one teaches us that respect for one another and loving one another are the keys to a good and fulfilling life, as well as the way to heaven. Our Creator is love. God wanted us, and created us out of love that we might also share in His love and the love of one another
Are there exceptions? The answer to that, as we have learned, is “No”.
How do we know this? How can that be explained?
Those who rape, murder, steal, and do not love others, nor respect God, often end up behind bars for the rest of their natural lives. And will they arrive one day in heaven? Only God can answer that, but most of us will agree, the keys to heaven lie in loving God and following the Ten Commandments.
We may be curious about those who do not take a partner and marry; however, a large portion of those individuals become priests, Nuns, doctors, etc. Their lives may be dedicated to serving others as their way of serving God through serving His people. Are these sects of people not requiring love? On the contrary. They are so full of feeling God’s love and His purpose for serving Him, they have much to give to others. You might say they are part of the many God has chosen.
