St Rose of Lima
My little bluebirds glitter in the frost of the cold that is settled on the back door panes I have painted. To represent each of my Grandchildren. While the little Butterflies represent the ones who have gone before me, flit around in Heaven joyfully, free. My little bluebirds must stay and live in a world where they struggle until they become butterflies. What a blessing my Lord has given me in each life of my little bluebirds and butterflies. Each represent a child God has created and given to My Life as a joy richer than gold. The flowers I have painted represent my own children God has blessed me with. The shoots that have sprung from them are immeasurable in love and joy. Each, in their own unique way present love in its greatest form.
Each child is a gift. Like the petals of a rose in full bloom, they are beautiful. They smell of innocence and purity at their first earthly appearance. In their helplessness, relying on our love to tend to them, they have left the warmth of Heaven, relying on the warmth of our Love. Each, having their own purpose. Whether it be to sing the song of a blue bird or fly colorfully as a precious butterfly, wisping past us for but a moment.
Take care of the little children. They are sent with Love and in return, we must give with Love. Each little bluebird and each little butterfly.
