Like a Child—Being Born Again
Many years ago while living in Texas, this insight or wisdom came while praying the rosary with Bob. A big ole cockroach came out from under the chair I was sitting in and of course ---I did the 'la cooka a rocha dance' on him.
I was then given the insight as to how we must never give that ole cockroach any credit for anything bad that comes into our life. OR. never let tiny frustrations, aggravations or negative emotions trigger worse behavior that that cockroach would love to see come from our mouth, hands or heart. Anger, hate, or addictive behavior for example.
This morning, after receiving an awesome 'message' from Mary our Mother at Mass about 'rejoicing, smiling' at all times for Mary, like a wonderful mother, knows our hurts, cries with us, and walks with us as we struggle and carry our cross in life. She reassured my heart, that she and Jesus are always right there with us as we walk in His footsteps.
(Now, Mary and Jesus too, talks to all of us, not just to me. For when we are open to the Holy Spirit and like Mary, say 'be it done unto me according to your Word,'-- the Presence of the Holy Spirit comes! We must desire this union, this emptying of our self will, and surrendering to God all of our life. For this is the beginning of our walk into eternal life.)
Back to that cockroach. Even after having our house exterminated recently----a tiny baby cockroach crawled by my hand on the table. Immediately, he was smashed and I said--- "sorry, but if you live, my house becomes invaded again."
Here comes that wisdom from on high. "Yes, and everytime something tiny aggravates you, frustrates you---watch out!! The BIG ole cockroach loves to send more 'triggers' into your life that will build up as long as you react to those triggers." Like Charlie Brown missing that football every time Lucy pulls it out! ARRRGGHH!
If we want a joyful heart, and ability to rejoice always in all things-- see negativity for what it is--an ole cockroach wanting you to be angry, fearful and sad. Music and dancing by the way, is a great way to chase the blues away!
So, dear ones, as Mary spoke to my heart last night-----keep that smile on your face, joy in your heart for God: For that smile, trust and faith makes her and God very happy!
"Keep a smile on your face, make the world a better place----and slap that ole cockroach dead!"
