Irritability and forgiveness
Bishop Fulton J. Sheen says, "Divinity is always where you least expect to find it. So the Son of God-made man is invited to enter into His own world through a back door". Fulton Sheen goes on to say, "a stable would certainly be the last place in the world, where one would look for the Son of God. A King.
There are many back doors. On our houses. On our minds. On our hearts. They are not the main doors that we usually allow people to enter, but they are there just the same. Sometimes there may be something blocking that front door and the only access is to use the back door. God enters through all doors. We just must be watchful and checking both entrances. Jesus entered through a locked door in the Upper room. He stood among those watching in awe. This powerful Savior can do anything! Anyone, I believe that welcomes Jesus through "all doors", is a knowledgeable and trusting soul. Exactly what our God wants us to be.
Put the "Welcome Mat" at both the front "and" the back doors. The back door is the less obvious for entrance, so keep a watchful eye out. He says He will knock, so keep a careful ear alert. He will come just as He did, that Blessed night in Bethlehem. Through a back door of this world.
