Reflecting on the Seven Sorrows of Mary
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of my readers and everyone at Catholic365 and thank you to everyone who has engaged with my articles. I hope all of you enjoyed Christmas Day with family and friends and have had time to reflect on the mystery of the Incarnation and how to apply the virtues that the Child Jesus teaches us to our own lives, particularly as we go into the new year. God Himself chose to come down to us in the form of a little baby, teaching us how to embody poverty and humility and really driving home the point that we cannot enter the kingdom of God unless we become like little children. God taking on flesh let us know that holiness is possible for us to attain as long as we are willing to follow Him and take on childlike virtues.
Where are certain points in your life where you need the poverty of spirit and humility to become like a child and rely completely on God, especially during the new year amid challenges you might encounter? Sit in silence and take time to also just marvel at the fact that God chose to come down to us in this way to save us. He truly is a great God. Have a blessed New Year and here’s to more articles in 2026!
